Victoria is a beautiful city to visit with its many gardens and places of
interest, and due to its geographic setting it enjoys a more temperate climate
compared to many parts of the country.
A one minute walk from Canisbay
Cottage takes you to Ross Bay with beautiful views of the Straits
of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains in Washington.
A ten minute walk through the historic Ross Bay Cemetery takes you to
Fairfield Plaza which has a good selection of shops including pharmacy, grocery
store, post office, bank, hairdresser, bakery, travel agent and several
restaurants.
A 20 minute walk will take you to Cook Street Village with its coffee shops,
restaurants, antique shops and other facilities.
A 35 minute walk, through beautiful Beacon Hill Park, will take you to the
down town area with lots of places to explore including The Inner Harbour, The
Royal British Columbia Museum, The Legislature, The Empress Hotel and many other
attractions.
If you don’t feel like walking, a bus service, every twenty minutes, leaves
for Cook Street Village and the city centre.
